Assassin's Creed 3 was one of the more fun of the series to play through. It offered a few extra perks throughout the game and playing as a Native American through the revolutionary war was just spectacular, it gave you a new perspective of the war and how certain things happened. Alright well let's get this review started then shall we?
The game is a very large game with a lot to explore, from the seas to the cities and the forest themselves. The developers put a lot of detail into the game with the scenery and all of the leaves in the trees. There was a lot of time and effort put into this game for sure, with such a big map and so much detail I can only imagine how much work it really was. But with every good game there is always a few flaws, and in the cut scenes you could see that. There was a lot of overlapping in the cut scenes with characters and certain objects not looking right and things like that. But that is to be expected with every game, but it got a little annoying. Overall the graphics and the overall flow of the game was very good and we here at Hereitisgaming.com give it a 8.5/10 in Graphics and Flow.
The overall game play was amazing. The fighting was very fast paced to where after you kill one you could just hop over to the other and kill him immediately also, until you got to the harder enemies where you had to do a different combo to overpower them. Using the guns was a huge plus, it allowed you to shoot someone before they shot you from a distance and gave you the advantage in some situations. Also the whole hunting aspect of the game was a really good addition to the game. I loved running around setting traps finding clues and hunting animals. The materials you gained from the animals were useful in the fact that you could sell all of them for a good amount of money and buy more ammo and such things to help you out in your adventure. Overall game play received a 8/10 from us at Hereitisgaming.com
Next we are going to talk about the story of the game itself and how it ties in with all the others and where it ends up (Some spoilers to follow). You start off as an older white gentleman who you go around and kill a bunch of bad guys like usual, well there's a twist. He saved a Native American woman and they did the nasty, well this is how you are born. Well at the end of the adventure as the white man you find out he is a Templar... Dun dun duhhh.. Yes, your dad is a Templar and you must kill you father when you grow up to save the world. As you go through the game you find out he isn't that bad, well that's at least what he wants you to think. I will not say what happens to him because that will really ruin some things. Anyways at the end Desmond has two choices after he find the key and unlocks the door, he can either end the world and start anew with the people he has with him or he can release this lady out of this orb and she will conquer the world, but by releasing her it will end his life. Yeah its a tough choice for sure, but you don't get to choose, it is already chosen for you in the cinematic. The game would have been a lot better if you would have been able to choose, but obviously that means there is going to be another game. (Hopefully) Anyways the whole overall story was really nice and I enjoyed the game overall and it kept me glued to my seat for sure. We gave the overall story a 9/10.
Overall the game was an amazing games, but with every game it obviously had its flaws and we can look past those to keep us intertwined in the lifes of the assassins. I can't wait for the next one.
Overall rating of the game 8.75/10
